Summary + Review:
Actually, I said to myself: "Ken, it's time you stop being biased and listen to one of Ishida Akira's dramas." Not that I dislike Ishida-san...Okay, (dodges flying objects aimed at her) I acknowledge Ishida Akira's talent, and I adore Hakkai (Saiyuki), Satoshi (DNAngel), and countless other characters that Ishida play a part of. However, unfortunately my first encounter with Ishida's BL drama was Endless Rain....(Ken dies). Since this page is NOT about Endless Rain, I won't go into much details, except that after hearing Ishida whine, cry, scream, and moan throughout the ENTIRE hour that was the drama (no kidding, 6 freaking H scenes! SIX!), there was only one expression left to accurately describe my condition: @_@...
After my ears finally healed from resonating random Ishida H voices, I (for my own health) carefully stayed away from his dramas for....quite a while *sweatdrops*. However, I have finally gathered my courage and attack Ishida BL dramas AGAIN!! (Ken throws her fist into the air and gives a warcry) And sooOOOOOooo, here it is, the MisCast Series, Number 1!!!XD
Tachibana Kazuki (Ishida Akira) is your normal average 25-year-old young subordinate worker who works for a publishing company specializing in pornography. One day, a weirdly flashing lightbulb appeared on Kazuki's boss' head (okay, so not really...*gets whacked*) and boss Kogure-san decided that for their next project, they will publish a BL photography album instead XDDDD;;. Boss Kogure then ordered everyone to prepare for the work, and appointed Kazuki in charge of trying to persuade the famous photographer Makimura Shinichi (voice by Hanada Hikaru) to take on this project.
Kazuki's job seemed to progress surprisingly well considering that just by having lunch at a high-quality restaurant with Makimura-sensei, he managed to grab the photographer's interest in the project. The next day, Makimura called the office and quickly agreed to accept the position as the photographer. Here comes the unfortunate part for Kazuki; Makimura will take the job ONLY IF Kazuki becomes one of the models!! (O_o) While the boss certainly seems excited about the idea, Kazuki is completely outraged, insisting that he is just a normal "salaryman." Ignoring the Boss' persuasions, he angrily stormed out of the office...
Let's say something positive about Ishida now!! XD Kazuki is a less passive character than some of Ishida's other uke roles (coughAYASEcoughNOMONEYcoughcough) and although he is easily forced into awkward situations, he also asserts some of his own character concerning the "unfairness" of the decisions. Ishida sounds ADORABLE whenever he voices Kazuki's protesting pouts at the Boss' orders. I especially like the scene when he is surprised by the news that Makimura wants him to become the second model, he stuttered for quite a bit (so cute XD) and finally blurted out: "Bu--bu-bu, BUCHOUUU!! Bo..boku wa yadesu kara nee!!" and after failing to make the Boss see his point, he slammed the door in anger: "Zettai YADA desu!" (I'm NOT going to do it!) XDDD. Of course, Kazuki did finally got persuaded to accept the job, on the agreement that the company will not reveal his identity or release any of his personal information.
Meet Fukazawa Yuuji (Inoue Kazuhiko), the famous actor who accepted to be the other model for the album. Also meet Andre Hayami (Koyaaassuuuuu-saaaamaaaa~~XDDD), the makeup artist AKA Makimura's close friend. The photographing work then proceeded rather smoothly--of course, with Kazuki (unavoidably) harrassed a little bit here and there...XD;;....but Kazuki wasn't too much bothered....not until, after he heard from fellow coworkers that Makimura-sensei is actually gay O_O.
At this point everyone around Kazuki are hinting here and there that Makimura-sensei shows a liking to Kazuki (Ken sweatdrops....), and Kazuki himself is confronted by his friend Tashiro and Yuuji about his own sexual preference and whether he also likes Makimura. Poor Kazuki becomes so confused and sobs a little saying that he is "gay ja nai" (Ken: awww....so cute XDD;; crying like a little puppy in Makimura-sensei's arms and insisting that he's not gay). Fortunately (or mayber unfortunately lol), Kazuki's coworkers all show a support for Kazuki to build a relationship with Makimura (Ken sweatdrops some more....). So erm, under everyone's uniamous support ^^;;;;;;, Kazuki eventually accepted Makimura and the couple happily live together...
(Ken: Yes, the amazing thing about the yaoi world is that EVERYONE are super-open to homosexuality and DAMMIT, the couple ALWAYS move-in to live together at lightning speed so that the first second you're still trying to figure out whether Kazuki really accepted Makimura yet, and next second, you're like, 'the hell, when did they start living under the same roof? O_o' XD;;;;)
lol, and the last scene consisted of Yuuji, Andy, and Makimura in their usual favorite place: the bar. Andy and Yuuji are trying to pry it out of Makimura if he and Kazuki have "done it" XDDDDDDD;;;;; and the two contemplates over Kazuki's "straightness" XD;;;; Makimura, after much peer pressure, finally blurts out "no"....(Andy + Yuuji: Nooo? O_o) which terribly disappoints the other two (Andy: "Shinjiranai!" [I can't believe it!]) and the two tease Makimura some more that it must be because he asked for it in the morning, that's why Kazuki won't do it with him lol...(and Makimura gulps down his drink in silent frustration at the two lol XD)
Ooh! and yatta, no H scene overload in this drama XD (Ken gets whacked by numerous Ishida fangirls) now just to ease your burning minds questioning DID THEY EVENTUALLY HAVE SEX, yes they did, at like, the very, very, end. (and please applaud for Ken who survived through the H scene! XDD;;;) Overall, I really did like this drama quite a lot. Ishida sounds very cute, the seme is a nice gentle seme, and the storyline is sweet. ahh well the drama sortof abruptly end right after the H scene, but that is because there's 11 more (AND to-be-releases in the future...) for the entire series lol...now when would I stop procrastinating and review them all? I wonder...
