Summary + Review:
KirePapa is a very funny and lighthearted drama XD The interesting personalities of the characters gave the story a weird twist and really made the drama came to life. It's also got quite an eclectic selection of background music which perfectly fits the crazy all-out goodness that is the theme of this drama. Overall, KirePapa is very amusing to listen to and VERY enjoyable :D It's worthy to note that KirePapa is one of Midorikawa's more interesting dramas in which he (actually! gasp) did not act as either a 1. cold & cool boy, or 2. brainless uke (see Nanbara Ken's series...*sweatdrops*). In this drama, Midorikawa is Chisato, the double-faced, beautiful yet evil, amazingly fangirlish, and surprisingly very oblivious Papa 35 years of age who looks like he's only 17 -_-;; Chisato's main goal is to drive away all the suspicious boys hanging around Riju, his kawaii son. Whenever Riju brings friends home, Chisato-san would use his (rather polished over these years) skill and dump laxative or some other poisonous things in delicious-looking coffee and cake to drive those schoolmates away. Meanwhile, he appears in front of Riju's friends looking gorgeous and gentle and VERY glamorous (imagine an abundance of sparkles XDDDD) so that they never suspect a THING until they yeah, ate the food...
Despite all of Chisato's efforts to keep these "dangerous" classmates away, there is ONE he can never get rid of...Sakaki Syunsuke (Sakurai Takahiro....oh his VOICE...*melts*), who has amazingly kept being Riju's close friend for four years despite the many poisonous coffee he might have been served (Ken ROFL). Although he doesn't show it, Syunsuke actually fell for Chisato long, long ago. He pretends to like Riju (which drives Chisato to NUTS) while secretly getting close to Chisato :D
Chisato works as a mystery novel writer. He is also a BIG fan of Sakki Shunka, who writes the popular "Mizuki" murder case stories. Everytime he *thinks* about Shunka-sensei, he would fangirlish scream, melt, cry tears of joy, sparkle, and do all the standard things that a fellow fangirl (yes, FANGIRL. You didn't see it wrong, I didn't type it wrong...again, I marvel at Midorikawa's skill to say "aaaaAAAAAAnnnnnn~~~~~Ore mo DAAMEEEEEeeeee~~~~*melt and faints*" (Ahhhnnnn~~I can't haandle it anymooooore) like a proper fangirl would do XDDDD)
Unbeknownst to Chisato, Shunka is actually a pen name used by Syunsuke (THE Shunsuke, yes, the one who he hates) to publish his writings. One day while delivering a notebook that Syunsuke left at his house...Okay, you ask why Chisato is acting nice to deliver the book? Of course, it's because he fears that if Riju goes out at night to deliver the book, he would get attacked by either strangers or by Syunsuke himself lol. INSERT the colorful fantasy that Chisato conjures up...(Complete with lively swing music! Yeah and this is *supposed* to be a rape scene, too XDDDDDDD but please read on~~)
Strangers: hi there, cutie. Come and play with us...three people are more fun than one~~
Riju: huh? ahh! HEEELLLPPP MEEEE!! (gets raped) Papa, Papa! PAPA!!
Riju: *arrives at Syunsuke's house*
Syunsuke: Riju! how come your clothes are all torn...
Riju: *sobs*
Syunsuke: I see...well, let me comfort you some MORE....*pushes Riju*
Riju: AHH! NOOO! *cries and screams* Syunsuke~~please stop T__T ahhn, AHhnnn, AHHHHHNNNNNNnnn!!

So yes, where was I? Ah, delivering the notebook (see how this drama blows you away with random things like that?) so, after totally freaking himself out just by worrying over Riju's safety, Chisato delivers the notebook himself, and discovers that Syunsuke's and Shunka's handwritings are the same! (lol, of course). So, the secret unrevealed, Syunsuke grabbed the chance to confess, and everything is going right until HOLD ON!! Syunsuke = Shunka. Syunsuke = hateful person. Shunka = wonderful amazing (multiply by N positive vocabularies) person. hateful person = (okay, do the substitution yourselves), and Chisato becomes absolutely confused XD;;;;;
Meanwhile Chisato is sorting out his own feelings, which we ALL know of COURSE he finally discovers that he really loved Syunsuke (or else this isn't called yaoi), but MEANWHILE. Anyways, we found out a quite interesting fact, which is that the (male) students who comes confessing to Chisato actually all meant to confess to HIM, not Riju O_o. One particularly bold one ignored Chisato's ingenious way of diverting the conversation ("If you're looking for the toilet, too bad, our house doesn't have one, the closest one is 10km away in a park....why don't you just go home? *sweetly smiles*") and yes, tries to push Chisato, gets kicked in the balls, and limps away. Chisato self-comforts thinking about Syunsuke, and Riju, who's behind the door, sees everything (ah yes all the spicy details and....*mute*)
Skipping some smutty details about another confession and some classic Midorikawa uke voice-acting XDDDDDD Chisato did eventually made up with Syunsuke, and the two kiss in bed...
Syunsuke: *puts more moves on Chisato*
Chisato: What if Riju sees us?
Syunsuke: "too late. look towards the door" (of course, Riju, the innocent but not-so-innocent boy, sees EVERYTHING)
...and Chisato FRETS
Chisato: (usual sweet tone but just a little shaky from the shock) "you see, Papa suddenly had a heart attack, and Syunsuke is only doing artificial breathing..."
Syunsuke: (simulatneously) "Riju, your dad and me are having a serious relationship together..."
Riju, being the good boy that he is, of course, understands, and says he knew it all along. and gives away some smutty details about Chisato masturbating by himself, and gets Syunsuke VERY interested (LOL), when he decided to leave the couple alone.
Riju: "I'm going to leave you two alone now, and I have a date with my BOYFRIEND too" (Ken DIES ROFL-ing...this kid is full of surprises XDDDDD)
Chisato: (currently stoned)
(Ken takes a drink of water)
Scene change to a studio where they decided to film the popular Mizuki series. the actor for Mizuki is Nijou Kakeru (Suawbe Junichi), who is also, Riju's boyfriend XD (age 20). Chisato, being the big fan, has a HUGE crush on Mizuki's handsome-ness (you know, the usual fan crush) but at the same time hating Kakeru for his LIFE because he stole Riju from him...(this is not the first time we see this happening, no? ^^;)
To cut it clear to the point (which is what I NEVER do), Chisato, who talks bitterly and throws his usual trick of poisoning the coffee again (EXTRA dose for Kakeru lol), would suddenly transform into melting/screaming fangirl mode and ahhhns and Oooohhs at Kakeru's pretty face which he can't resist...(Ken understands T_T...Suwabe-sama...)
To make things more interesting, Chisato actually gets invited to participate in a love scene in the film with Mizuki...(dizzy...Suwabe x Midorikawa @_@ *melt*) the couple kisses deeply (Chisato fangirl-mode melts and is completely defenseless), Syunsuke rushes in and says CUT CUT CUUUUUT!!!! out of a fit of jealousy and decides NOT to include this (supposedly crucial) scene in the film, and Riju off-stage trys desperately to help Chisato get out of his fangirl attitude...(ROFL)
In order to get Kakeru out of Riju's life for eternity, Chisato (off-fangirl-mode) considers killing him using one of the (yet unpublished) murder method in the Mizuki series. However, that plan is soon spoiled because Kakeru explained that he read the unpublished book beforehand due to his "rather intimate" relationship with the original author. Now we all know of course, because Kakeru is the main actor for Mizuki in the series, it's normal to be close to the author...but this is Chisato we're talking about, so lol, INSERT Chisato's (second wild fantasy) mode:
Fnegirls HAVE to fully appreciate Chisato's super-awesome imaginative sense-----Uke Suwabe!! (dies) Chisato imagines that what Kakeru meant by their relationship would be...Syunsuke (Sakurai Takahito) x Kakeru (Suwabe Junichi)!!!! The details:
Kakeru: Ah, hahh, not good, Syunsuke-san, (pants, ken DIES of nosebleed) I...can't hold it anymore!
Syunsuke: (chuckles...OMG melt) Mada mada, Kore kara desu-yo [Not yet, this place of yours...]
Kakeru: Ah, Ahhn! (Suwabe-sama *tears of joy* you sound SO CUTE *dies*)
Where were we again? But that doesn't matter, because Syunsuke steps in and disrupts Chisato's rather....colorful imagination just in time and takes him out for a date. Kakeru is left at home with Riju and the two have some smut XDDD Scene-switch to the restaurant where Chisato and Syunsuke have dinner:
Chisato: Why did you come and take me out all of a sudden, anyways?
Syunsuke: Kakeru called me, and said because I weren't around, you became very lonely...
(Ken says it gets better than this lol)
Syunsuke: (continues to say) SO he told me you (Chisato) maturbated in front of him and Riju (which you know is all a big lie) and forced a 3P on both of them...(Ken ROFL)
Chisato: .....#####>____< (Crazy berserk-ing)
back at the house...
Kakeru: Riju, listen up. I probably won't visit you for a while--
Riju: Eh? Is work getting too busy?
Kakeru: No...I think it's better for me to wait until the storm settles...ja, Abai-yo! [See ya!] (Runs AWAAAAAAYY!! XDDDD Suwabe-sama is SO CUTE XDDDDDDDDD)
And the drama happily ends with the music. (Ken applauds and flips over ROFL-ing)
